Objective

SPA2 is the main site of a project aimed at the collection, storage and preservation of every program ever released for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in Spain.

Archive contents

Every Spanish program; apart from programs from other procedences but edited in Spain if (and only if) their code / loading scheme / sleeve (or all of them) have been altered in relation to the original version.

Therefore, we DON'T accept hacked or cracked versions, type-ins or house-made programs. Just legally released titles, exactly as they were published.

File formats

[Tapes] - Perfect TZXs, got from the original tape or an exact copy of it. Attaching an inlay scan of the tape will definitely grant the quality of the recording. Otherwise, the quality of the submitted TZX file will be analyzed. Note that it's strongly recommended to follow the transfer rules explained in our collaborate page.

[Disks] - Perfect DSKs, got from the original disk or an exact copy of it. Attaching an inlay scan of the disk will definitely grant the quality of the recording. Otherwise, the quality of the submitted DSK file will be analyzed. Note that it's strongly recommended to follow the transfer rules explained in our collaborate page.

[Inlays] - JPG format. Preferably, Andrew Barker's rules should be followed. We also need to know the inlay size (in cm, if possible).

[Instructions] - There's certainly NOT a predefined standard format, although Adobe PDF is the preferred one. Anyway, we also accept instructions scans in JPG/GIF format, or plain text files (TXT). If submitted, other text formats (DOC, RTF) will be automatically converted to PDF format by the maintainer of the site.

Copyrights

Any existing program with denied distribution permission will be shown in the lists, although access to these files won't be allowed. This applies to those titles this concrete site is not allowed to make available (explicitly expressed by copyright holders) as well as to those ones which were already denied for one of our associated sites (implicit assumption), unless stated the opposite.

Meanwhile, we're trying to get in touch with the authors / copyright holders of every program in our site (particularly, Spanish ones) in order to ask them permission to keep their software freely downloadable from our site. If you're one of them, would you be so kind as to contact us?
